Suzy and Aubrey

Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14th 1964. She was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. She is currently 58. Sandra Kolber is her mother and Gene Kolber is her father. Kolber attended Sandy Run Middle School in Dresher Pennsylvania and is a 1982 alumni of Penn's Upper Dublin High School. In 1986, she received an undergraduate degree in Arts that included a concentration on telecommunications from the University of Miami. Her first job was the sports director at Dynamic Cable in Coral Gables Florida while she was a first-year college student. The position lasted two years between 1984 and 1986. During this period she was also a part of the water skiing team at the University of Miami. Plaza participated in Wilmington community theatres as a child, where she performed improvs and directed one-act plays. After graduating from high school, she moved in New York City where she attended improv courses at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and trained in television and film production at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts which she graduated from in. When she was 20 years old, she had an injury to her brain that resulted in temporary expressive aphasia (a deficiency in the expression as well as comprehension of language).
