The role she played as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything earned her an Oscar nomination for her first. Jones was praised by the public and critics for portraying Hawking's former wife as she appeared in The Theory of Everything, a Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno is the Tom Hanks-starred thriller. Jones received the British Artist of year award in the year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles.
